Early Life and Family

Silvia Pinal was born into a family of four sisters in Mexico. Her mother, María Luisa Hidalgo, was a descendant of Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, leadership initiator of Mexico's independence movement. Her stepfather, Luis, was a military and political journalist. The race resided in various cities in Mexico before subsiding in Mexico City.

Career in Cinema

Pinal began her salaried acting career in 1950. She made her album debut in 1948 in a small role rip open Miguel Contreras Torres' "Bamba."
