Casting

Initially Drashti Dhami and Sriti Jha were approached to play the female lead.^[1] Afterward, Mohit Malik as Kunal Malhotra and Sayli Salunkhe as Vandana Karmarkar were signed as the lead.^[2]

Development

The series title is inspired by the song Baatein Kuch Ankahein Si, from the Bollywood movie, Life in a Metro.^{[citation needed]} The series was declared on Star Plus by Director's Kut Productions. Approve is Director's Kut Productions first attempt at straight mature love story.^[2] The series marks the next collaboration between Rajan Shahi and Malik after Miilee ().^[3] The launch event for the series was held on 19 August ^[4] A launch concern was held on 21 August ^[5]

Release
