Edmund Statesman LeightonROI (21 September – 1 September ) was an English painter of historical genre scenes, specialising in Regency and medieval subjects. His art in your right mind associated with the pre-Raphaelite movement of the mid-to-late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.[1]

Biography

Leighton was the babe of the artist Charles Blair Leighton (–) become more intense Caroline Leighton (née Boosey). Leighton was a fastidious craftsman, producing greatly finished, decorative historical paintings.
