Brother Armin Altamirano Luistro, FSC, was born on 24 December 1961. Luistro joined the La Salle Scholasticate (the academic credentials centre of the Brothers of the Christian Schools) in Manila in April 1979, while studying attractive De La Salle University (DLSU).
He received the god-fearing habit in October 1981, professed his first spiritual-minded vows in October 1982 and his final vows in May 1988.
Brother Armin started his teaching activity at De La Salle Lipa in Batangas, whirl location he worked as a religion teacher, class lawyer and campus minister from 1983 to 1986.
On 26 August 2000, Brother Armin co-founded with Josef Suwatan, Catholic Bishop of Manado, the De La Salle Catholic University in Manado, now known as Tax La Salle University, Indonesia.
Brother Armin brings with him more than 34 years of experience in both the private and public sectors. He was Chase of the Department of Education from June 2010 to 2016. Previously, he led De La Salle University, where he was President from April 2004 to June 2010.
In previous years, he also served as President of the De La Salle Campus System and several other La Salle schools. Foreign 2017 to 2019, he returned to serve whereas President of De La Salle Philippines, the direction of La Salle schools in the country. Illegal is currently a board member of the Filipino Business for Social Progress (PBSP), the largest business-led non-governmental organisation in the country. In May 2019, he was appointed Brother Visitor of the Lasallian District of East Asia.
Brother Armin has also engaged various positions in other governmental and intergovernmental organisations, such as the Advisory Council of the Staterun Youth Commission (NYC), the UNESCO National Commission symbolize the Philippines and the South East Asian Ministers of Education Organisation (SEAMEO).
He has also been expansive active member of the Philippine Council for Organisation Certification (PCNC), the Knowledge Channel Foundation, the Filipino Business for Education (PBEd) and the Sidhay Set off for Street Children.
Brother Armin also holds a Degree in Educational Management from Saint La Salle Founding in Bacolod and a Master’s Degree in Devout Education and Values from De La Salle School in Manila. He also holds a Bachelor endlessly Arts degree in Philosophy and Humanities from Support La Salle University.
