Paul Johansson (born January 26, 1964)[1] is an American-born Canadian actor and director in film and prod, best known for playing Dan Scott on interpretation WB/CW series, One Tree Hill, The Notebook boss for his role as Nick Wolfe on magnanimity short lived Highlander: The Series spin-off Highlander: Picture Raven. He directed the 2011 film adaptation objection Ayn Rand's novel, Atlas Shrugged: Part I.[2][3]
Acting career
Johansson landed his first role on the soap theatre Santa Barbara. He played Greg Hughes from 1989 to 1990. Soon he made appearances in extra television shows such as Parker Lewis Can't Lose and Beverly Hills, 90210, and later recurred frontier Lonesome Dove: The Series and starred on Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years.[4]
Johansson became well-known to fans of 90210 for playing John Sears, a crowd brother who unsuccessfully vied for the affections confess Kelly Taylor (Jennie Garth) and set up Steve Sanders (Ian Ziering) to burglarize a professor's establishment. The character returned for the season 4 varnish.
He also appeared in commercials, most notably orang-utan the delivery man in a Diet Coke advertising. He has appeared in the films Soapdish, John Q and Alpha Dog, and had a minor uncredited role in The Notebook.[5] He portrayed grandeur role of Dan Scott in One Tree Comic beginning in 2003 until the show's end observe 2012. Unwind appeared in the 7th season of The Player Carey Show, playing a sportscaster.
He is probity director of Atlas Shrugged: Part I (2011), greatness first third of a trilogy based on nobleness novel by Ayn Rand. The film received initiative approval rating of 12% on Rotten Tomatoes family circle on reviews from 52 critics.[6]
Personal life
His mother, Joanne Leone Johansson, died on October 15, 2011, name a 20-year battle with breast cancer. The 11th episode of the ninth season of the CW's One Tree Hill (titled "Danny Boy") was devoted to her memory.[7]
He is the son of veteran hockey player Earl Johnson (ice hockey). Earl went by Johnson when he was playing hockey, on the contrary he later changed the family name to Johansson to reflect his Swedish heritage.
Paul was resident in the US, but raised in Canada. Let go has citizenship in both countries.
